About the Ritsma lab

We are studying the molecular mechanisms that regulate tumor metastasis and dormancy using single cell approaches including high-resolution two-photon intravital microscopy, in vitro live-cell imaging and in vitro 3D culture methods.

We work at the interphase between cell biology and tumor biology to study mechanisms related to tumor metastasis and dormancy. We have an expertise in advanced imaging technologies such as intravital microscopy using imaging windows, and are actively pushing the boundaries of these technologies to visualize new tissues and processes. In addition, we are using 3D cell culture methods and live cell imaging to complement our in vivo research.
