Anthonia Kleinhoote Award for PhD-candidate Anneke Kastelein
On 22nd April 2024 at the Dutch Chronobiology Meeting, Anneke Kastelein of the Cell and Chemical Biology Department of the Leiden University Medical Center, was recognized with the Anthonia Kleinhoote Award for her abstract presentation. Her presentation focused on her ongoing research into the effects of timing in chemotherapy treatment, particularly in relation to the onset of chemotherapy-induced fatigue. Anneke's findings offer a promising perspective on how timing might influence treatment outcomes, potentially leading to more tailored chemotherapy schedules that could mitigate side effects and improve quality of life for cancer patients.
