Technician
Lennert Janssen
Research:
My interest lies within the molecular biology techniques which I use to create all kind of constructs to investigate all the topics that are being studied in the Neefjes Lab. The project I’m most involved in is the unraveling of the retrofusion process of Multi Vesicular Bodies. Currently we are optimizing cloning strategies in combination with the Crispr/Cas system to generate a range of endogenous fluorescent tagged cell lines.
Curriculum Vitae:
In 1997 I graduated from the HLO Delft specialization Biochemistry. I started to work in the lab of John Collard at the division of Cell Biology at the Dutch Cancer Institute (NKI) to search for new genes involved in the metastasis of cancer under the supervision of Dr. F. Michiels. On the 1st of January 2000 I got a permanent position as a research technician in the Neefjes Lab. My main objectives are supporting the group with my molecular biology skills, generating new scientific tools and managing the lab.
