Research:
As an Electronic Engineer I am supporting the research within all the Circadian Clock groups. Electrophysiology, customized instrumentation, optimizing research equipment are main issues. I developed the setups for the in vivo SCN measurements.
Currently I am involved in an fMRI project to investigate the imaging of the SCN activity in the human brain.
Curriculum Vitae:
I studied Electrotechnics (HTS Den Haag) and as a Bachelor of Engineering (1976) I started my career in Amsterdam University at the Psychophysiology department.
Since 1986 I worked in the Physiology lab at Leiden University that changed to the LUMC in 2001. In the group of Instrumentele Zaken - Ontwikkeling I was supporting many groups in the LUMC.
After my retirement in 2012 I continued working for the Joke Meijer group on an STW grant and University grant. I will retire when Joke retires.
