Matty Verlaan–de Vries
Research:
SUMO signal transduction has been my main research topic since the last five years. I perform biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology experiments. I frequently assist PhD students and postdoctoral fellows in the group with their projects and help running the lab.
Curriculum Vitae:
I studied biochemistry at the Van Leeuwenhoek Institute in Delft and started working at the Rijks Instituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu (RIVM) in Leidschendam. Subsequently, I moved to Leiden to join the group of Alex J. van der Eb. First, I worked for Hans Bos on mutations in Ras oncogenes and later also for Alt Zantema and AG Jochemsen. Since five years, I am working in the SUMO signalling group of Alfred Vertegaal. I am experienced in biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology.
